LENS
A solo roleplaying engine — the GM’s answer, made mechanical. Now in its second design.
Play
The whole kit at your side: the 5×5 tables with forwards and backwards readings, the Pressure d8, clocks, the Belief ledger, Yes/No dice — everything rolled, everything recorded.
The Tables
All twenty-five, L1–L25, in the five-by-five grid — Perceive, Discover, Relate, Act, Endure — with every Result, the tailored Pressure d8, and worked examples.
How to Read a Lens Roll
The full procedure: when to roll, choosing the table, the two readings, Follow and Resist, the Tell, and the firewall.
Reference Layer
The run-mode pages — Session Zero, the Loop, the Commit Procedure, clocks and World Pressure, Targeting, the Card and the ledger, the mini-tables.
Glossary
Every term, from Approach to World Pressure.
The v2 Spec
The working specification — the player’s face and the designer’s contract, kept here as a reference document.
Lens sits over the games you already play. Your host system says whether an action works; Lens says what it reveals, what develops around it, and what pressure enters the scene — read forwards when the character has earned the answer, backwards when you know something they don’t. Facts are the world’s; Beliefs are the character’s, rated and tested when you judge the moment has come.
